The trio were bound over to the next term of the criminal court Personal Mention. We regret to hear of the serious ill ness of M B Royster, Esq, at his resi dence in this county. Rev J J Hall returned from Greeus ooro tnis morniDg where he h&i been assisting the Rev Mr Gwaltney in a meeting at his church for the past two weeks. Brother Hall reports good meeting, a goodly number of conversions and quite a number of additions to the church, the church reviyed and greatly strengt hened in the faith; in fine working condilion Raleigh Keal Estate Company. Articles of incorporation were filed in the office of the Superior Court of Wake county today for the Raleigh Real Estate Company, composed of J M Broughton, W N Jones and J N Holding. They succeed the firm of J M Broughton & Co, and Mr B is the Secretary and Treasurer of the new company. We hail the organization of this company with delight It is what we have needed in Raleigh for sev eral years. Messrs J M Broughton & Co, have met the demand in a meas ure during the past twelve months and their success has proven the ne. cessity of the more extended opera tions which the Raleigh Real Estate Company proposes to enter upon. The renting and selling of property negotiating loans, advertising and pushing the claims of our city, en couraging new industries and indu cing the settlement of citizens in our midst will be their business. The firm is composed of gentlemen of en terprise and push backed by wise and careful management and stand in this community as worthy of the full est confidence. If the owners of va - cant and unoccupied ground in and around Raleigh shall give this new company aid and encouragement, we shall find the next twelve months the busiest in all our history as a city. A Chicago judge has decided that t is not a crime to be an anarchist provided the anarchist don't go to blowing up anybody or anything. We expect next to hear of some St Louis judge deciding that it is not a crime to be a Cioago man. : SPECIA L NOTICES. Bananas, oranges, lemons, and co coanuts, just received at C O Ball's, No 11, East Hargett street. Send orders to A Dughi for ice cream for dinner tomorrow. Seasonable Dry Goods. We can't help feeling gratified at the sucsees of our "Bargain Counter" and the trade is as well or better pleased with it than ourselves, and wnyr because there are so many stylish, as well as useful articles and at such low prices There are only a few things men tioned in our ad today, but there are plenty more as good bargains when you reach the count -r. W H & R S Tucker & Co. 9 in 10 of all the things you see advertised as big bargains and under values are humbugs. Some houses seem to be unable to get the attention of the I eople except by saying they have some great bargain when in truth the same goods they say is such a big thing, can be bought for the same as they ask for it anywhere. We often advertise bargains ourselves, but never unless we know that it is one, and cannot be duplicated. As proof, we mention 50 pieces of yard wide satteens at only 8ic per yard We call this a bargain, and defy any house in the city to sell you the same goods for the price. We also have a ladies summer vest at 10c that you can't find in Raleigh for less than 15c, We only mention these to show that when we say bargain we mean better goods for less money than you can find anywhere else. We mean what we say, and all we say when we say that we can, will and do sell dress goods, clothing, shoes, hats, notions and millinery goods cheaper vfor less money) than any other store in the city. We invite you to investigate these bold statements at Swindell's Player's League. At Buffalo-Buffalo 8, Chicago 1(. At Pittsburg-Pittsburg 8, Cleve land 9. Work on the public building is pro gressing rapidly and since the big limestone arches haye been placed in position, people are beginning to think more of the building. It is really to be a handsome structure, the pressed brick being laid in black mortar, and the ornamental stone work setting off the whole in good style. It is not as good a building as Senator Vance wanted to get, but it will I e a beauty, all the same. The rich man in the parable when he wanted to give a feast and his first choice of guests would not come sent out for thoe he could get and had his feast anyway. Uncle Sam, how ever, isn't so dead bent on givinsra feast, and when the delegates of the Pan American Conference won't go on his Southern excursion he aban dons the whole scheme. There were plenty who were ready to go, but they will have to forego the pleas ures of a grand free ride end fr lunch this time. Hardware, &c. THEY ARE HERE.
